Is my property a good fit for WG?

Corporate travelers are usually business professionals who travel for work purposes and often look for spaces that spark creativity.  They have high budgets, are looking for quality accommodations that can quickly feel like home, and/or are looking for collaborative spaces for team-building experiences in order to obtain a fresh perspective or other objective.  They tend to be self-reliant, like cooking for themselves rather than eating out.

Corporate travelers and remote workers need a place to stay that is comfortable, convenient, has ample work/office space and has all the amenities they need to get work done.  They want the comforts of home — on the road.  Some corporate travelers may be traveling alone, while others may be traveling with a group.  Either way, they will need a place to stay and park that can accommodate their business or task needs.

Determining whether your property is a good fit for WG depends on various factors. Here are some aspects to consider:

1. LOCATION:  WG has specific target areas or regions where we operate.  We tend to favor proximities to public transportation, fitness centers, and major businesses.  Ensure that your property is situated in a location that aligns with our service coverage.

2. PROPERTY TYPE:  WG specializes in managing certain types of properties, such as single-family homes, apartments, lofts, condos, boutique hotels, or existing vacation rentals with access to amenities. Verify if your property type is within our scope of expertise.

3. CONDITION & AMENITIES:  Consider the condition of your property and the amenities it offers.  WG may prefer properties that are well-maintained, have parking access, are near laundry facilities/ fitness centers, are furnished, and are equipped with essential amenities (such as ample work space/office) to ensure a positive guest experience.

4. RENTAL POTENTIAL:  Assess the rental potential of your property based on factors like work demand in the area, occupancy rates, access to amenities/parking, and average rental income.  WG may be more inclined to work with properties that have strong rental potential.

5. COMMUNICATIONS AND EXPECTATIONS:  Communication is key in any property management relationship. Ensure that your expectations align with WG’s services and policies, and clarify any concerns or questions you may have during your initial consultation with us.

What does your management entail?

Corporate accommodation management involves the thorough oversight and administration of a rental property, often catering to remote work lifestyles and larger group contracts by an umbrella company seeking a team-building experience.  This encompasses tasks such as handling reservations, arranging for cleaning, upkeep services, access to amenities, and ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.  A corporate accommodation manager assumes responsibility for all facets of the rental process, including promoting the property through our marketing efforts, liaising with guests during their stay, and managing payments.  Additionally, we ensure that the property is fully furnished and stocked with necessary amenities and provisions needed for their work (i.e. high speed Wi-Fi, work space, comfortable chair, plenty of outlets, printer, smart home entertainment, etc.).  Effective management contributes to a positive guest experiences, increases occupancy rates, and enhances rental revenue.

Why are our corporate accommodations a good solution for business travelers and remote workers?

Our units present an advantageous choice for corporate travelers and remote work travelers due to several reasons. Initially, they tend to be more cost-effective compared to conventional hotels, making them particularly appealing for businesses aiming to reduce travel expenditures.

Furthermore, our units often offer greater convenience and comfort than standard hotel accommodations, which can significantly enhance the overall experience for business travelers seeking relaxation after demanding meetings or conferences.

Moreover, our units provide increased privacy and flexibility, catering well to the needs of business travelers requiring conducive environments for work tasks during their stay.

What advantages does hiring a professional manager like WG offer property owners?

In short: more money, more protection, and less headaches/work!  Additionally, corporate guests are more respectful of your property and its house rules.  Furthermore, Corporate guests are typically just looking for a place to relax after a day of work or after a long day of meetings or conferences, not a place to party.  This is beneficial to our business model since we are looking for long-term or repeat guests.  Repeat guests are also inclined to be even more respectful of your property, since they know exactly what to expect and will have fewer questions that they will need us to answer.

So engaging the services of a professional corporate accommodation manager as a specialist can yield numerous other benefits too, such as enhanced efficiency, elevated guest satisfaction, higher property appreciation, and obviously augmented rental revenue.  A proficient and specialized manager adeptly handles every aspect of the rental process, encompassing marketing initiatives, reservation management, guest correspondence, and property upkeep.  This relieves property owners of the burdensome tasks, granting them the liberty to concentrate on other endeavors.  Moreover, an experienced manager can optimize pricing strategies and occupancy rates, resulting in heightened rental income.  Furthermore, they ensure the property is meticulously maintained to minimize wear-and-tear, and equipped with essential amenities, fostering favorable guest experiences, and more positive reviews.

What are the key differences between business travelers and leisure travelers?

Despite the fusion of the two, there is still a divide between leisure travel and business travel.  Everyone in the industry, from accommodation experts to corporate travel managers, wants to deliver a great travel experience.  In order to do so, they must consider the key differences between travel for business and travel for leisure.

What the business traveler wants:

From the analog to the digital age, business travelers have depended on a few fundamentals:  Location: being able to get to and fro without enduring a nervous breakdown is essential for the business traveler.  There’s nothing worse than trekking halfway across a sprawling, unfamiliar city in a desperate race to be on time for an important meeting.  An easy commute between business trip accommodation and the meeting point saves time and money, avoids stress, and is simply good business.

Amenities:

On a business trip, basics like good coffee, a nutritious breakfast, and a hot shower first thing in the morning, are simple but absolutely crucial elements to kick-start the day.

Facilities on demand:

Whether it’s room service, in-room entertainment or places to relax and unwind, business travel accommodation needs to deliver a home-from-home experience for those on the road.

Connection:

Staying connected with HQ is crucial.  In days gone by, a phone connection to the office would do. Nowadays good wifi, a decent smartphone, and the ability to conference call are all indispensable.

What the leisure traveler wants:

There are certain aspects that the leisure traveler typically takes into consideration that aren’t quite so important in the corporate travel world.  Value for money: without the might of a corporate entity behind them, most leisure travelers understandably prefer to spend less than their business counterparts.  They spend less time searching for hotel deals and are more likely to opt for bargain Airbnb stays and use online booking tools in their search, although businesses are increasingly embracing both.

Reviews and recommendations:

With the ease of immediate online reviewing, leisure travel is now hugely centered around ratings systems. Leisure travelers turn to sites such as TripAdvisor for feedback on hotels, restaurants, bars and things to do while on their travels. Also, reviews are a central part of Airbnb, which continues its stratospheric rise in the leisure accommodation market.

Packages and special deals:

Leisure travelers are more likely to put their trip in the hands of hoteliers and travel agents, who can get creative and offer a range of packages with a wide array of leisure activities.  Family outings, romantic getaways, walking tours, and tourist attraction visits, are just some of the aspects of leisure travel packages.
